For some kids, it was the boogie man under the bed. For some kids, it was Santa Claus in the mall during Christmas time. For some kids (like my 20-year-old college roommate), it was the Chick-Fil-A Cow at college sporting events (sorry, Jojo).
Growing up, we all have nightmares that become cemented in our minds. Whether it’s because we watched a spooky TV show before bed one night, or heard a scary story on the playground at school one day, our minds took that frightening experience and ran with it so determinedly that we believed the nightmare was true. The only way to undo that, and get rid of your boogie man, is to face it head-on. To get up, and look under your bed – or in your closet. The only way to overcome it is to shine a light on it, see for yourself that it never existed and that you had nothing to fear!
